Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors . . .
THE JULIAN GROUPS WILL NOT BE MEETING UNTIL 30TH MARCH AT 9.30 a.m. AND WILL MEET ON THE LAST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH IN THE SANCTUARY
Founded a few years ago by Peter Summers, the Julian group
meets on the last Saturday of the month for just 30 minutes,
starting at 9am.
It attracts a handful of people and they have created a unique fellowship of quiet meditation and prayer, enhanced by candle lit silence.
Each session begins with the reading of a short piece of prose or the distribution of a simple picture and this is the inspiration for our time of silent thinking or relaxing. On a few occasions music has played a part.
It is unusual for busy people to opt for a half hour of non verbal communion on a Saturday morning once a month, but there is a refreshing of our minds as we unload the clutter and take in something with a spititual dimension.
It's not a group for everyone, but it is there for you to experience when you may need a pause to reflect and maybe discover new solutions to old problems or better answers to difficult questions.
